Winny Rominger was a Carpenter's Mate 3rd class MTB Squadron 5 in the Philippines then a POW on Mizuki Maru. He later built factory making PT boats in Maa-ni-la, then became Commander of the First PT squadron. He died in sinking of USS Respite Island in Deadly Shores.
