The Type 89 Machine Gun is a machine gun used by the Empire of Japan during the second world war. Based off the Lewis Machine Gun, it was chambered to 7.7x58mm and was belt fed.
Copies of this weapon were made in Zanzabar for use by Hisashi Kurokawa's forces primarilly as a aircraft and anti aircraft weapon.
Hideki Muriname gave the plans to the weapon to the Grik during his stay in Grik Africa, before his defection from the Grik.
